The Cheboygan River serves as the final leg of the Inland Waterway on your way out to Lake Huron. The mouth of the river is the home of the Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw, a 290 foot vessel originally designed for breaking ice on the Great Lakes that now serves as a maritime museum. A drawbridge spans the river downtown and a gate lock raises and lowers boats 12 feet.
Public access can be obtained at the Cheboygan City Marina. Check our Member Directory for a full list of Marinas on the Cheboygan River.
