Snowmobile Trail Report provided by: Indian River Snowmobile Grooming Club - www.justgroomit.org Indian River Trail Report: Hope you got all your chores done...the trails are ready to ride! We had a few inches of snow by the end of yesterday and the temp never got above 15. When night came we were cloud-covered and awoke to 5" of additional snow. The groomers were out last night but it's hard to know how much of the snow came while they were grooming. Bottom line is we have a good base back and enough new snow and cold to keep conditions good. Looks like our good luck will continue because even though there's a little sun and blue sky right now, we are supposed to receive another 2" through the day. Overnight predictions are for another 2" on top of that. Once the groomers run again tonight conditions will be even better. We've had windy conditions this morning and it's a frigid 9 degrees out. Our expected highs will be in the teens until Sunday when we may see some low 20's. There's no warm-up in sight so plan on a good riding all through the weekend! Remember to layer your clothing and keep a bottle of water on you (or near you so it doesn't freeze...). Go have some fun in the snow! |
